Munin

Washakie Iowa

Munin has proved herself a true carriage dog through participation in the Fenix Carriage Dog Trials. More information can be found at www.carriagedog.org

At the 2005 Trials she achieved her Silver Road Dog title under Michele Boys. This involves an obedience test from horseback and an endurance ride of twelve miles. Here she is demonstrating a sit stay with Dolly, Alison Burgess' 20 year old Cleveland Bay x TB who was awarded Best Condition Horse.

Here we are with Alison's Appaloosa Danny in the speed exercise - everything flying!

And with Carriage Dog Champion Disco and her owner Kelly Evans riding her beautiful Kanbstrup Jonas.

Munin also achieved her Carriage Coaching Certificate under Julie Allen. This certificate involves an obedience test alongside a carriage without the endurance element. Sue Jones kindly drove her Welsh Sec A Holly to help us achieve this.

This is Munin and I celebrating her achievements!

At the 2004 Trials she gained her Bronze Road Dog title under Charlie Kocur and was awarded Best Condition Dog by vet Celia Cox. Here she is doing the 'speed' test at those Trials working with me and Sleepy, a lovely Welsh Cob owned and kindly lent by fellow competitor David Taylor.

Fiona Mcuoat brought down her lovely pony Jack and allowed Munin to run behind her carriage. Even Jack's hooves were painted with black spots! We tried hard, but we weren't quite good enough for judge Joy Claxton. We'll try again in 2005!

And here she is practising in Friston Forest, East Sussex with German Shorthaired Pointer friends Louie and Nutmeg with Star and his rider Connie.

Here is Munin wearing the beautiful collar she won for her Best Condition Dog award in 2004.
